A medical clearance for surgery, also known as a "preoperative exam" or "pre-op," ensures that a patient is medically fit and safe for both surgery and anesthesia.
60-minute in-person examination
Includes: History, Exam, EKG, and labs* (chest x-ray available at additional costs).
*includes labs that are indicated for the procedure such as CBC, BMP, PT/PTT and INR. Additional labs available at discounted cost.
What to Bring?
- Bring clearance paperwork from your surgeon’s office.
- Bring medical history information and current medications.
- ID, acceptable for payment cash or card.
What to expect?
- A detailed history and physical exam, an EKG for most people and an off-site lab draw.
- Most lab results come back within 48 hours for Dr. Walker to review.
-The patient and surgeon will be notified of results and recommendations.
