Why “The Gold Standard Health”?

Who knew that creating a name and brand would be so hard?

I was thinking of names and wanted something that meant something to me.

I had AI generate list, I had friends and family send me ideas, and I scoured the internet and my brain for something. NOTHING!

So. Many. Names.

Some were just bad, some were too popular, and some sounded nice but didn’t invoke anything within my spirit.

I was still working my job, when one of my dear patients (who is probably reading this and knows who she is), came in. Ever since we met she has called me “The Gold Standard”. She would exclaim it for all to hear that, “my doctor, Doctor Walker, is the gold standard”!

Her excitement to see me and her choice to pour her love and gratitude out over me would always fill my cup. The Gold Standard name woke up my spirit and moved me.

That’s it! That’s the name.

The Gold Standard Health, PLLC was born.

What does “The Gold Standard” mean?

It is a term I heard often in training. It is a term also used in the medical field. In medicine the term is used for the test (imaging, blood test, biopsy, etc.) that is felt to be the current best for diagnosis of a particular condition.

But, in laymen’s terms it means the best, most reliable, or most prestigious thing of its type.

Who doesn’t want the best, most reliable, and most prestigious healthcare? Who doesn’t want a doctor who vows to use the gold standard of testing for them?
